2.5: This is what they call an old-fashioned Hollywood ending: everything works out alright and it is comically easy to predict. Cary Grant really didn't age that much over the years, at least not until the 1950's or 60's. He had all his charm and charisma at this relatively early date as well, but it was a bit tempered. This character doesn't allow him to use his movie star charm to the maximum extent possible either as it is a rather serious role. The story is interesting enough I'm sure felt like it was ripped straight from the headlines of the day. Myrna Loy plays her usual character, but a little more subdued and serious as well. It's a solid A-picture, but nothing to write home about.
