At the beginning of WITHOUT LIGHT, Jesse has just broken up with the latest in a long line of girlfriends and has given up on love and hope as his best friend Chris tries to help him out of the slump. It's the stuff of a typical romance movie...the only problem is WITHOUT LIGHT is not a typical romance. The moment Jesse picks up his head, he finds the facade of reality has melted away and the patterns of "life" are completely visible--if not immediately understandable. This is a world in which friends speak in riddles; ex-girlfriends fade in and out of view; and the foundation shakes, rips, and splits until Jesse is left with two separate realities--those of a psychological thriller and a samurai film.   • After yet another painful break-up, a young man begins seeing the destructive patterns that have been cycling through his life. As he strives to change those patterns, the line between dream and reality begins to blur.Soon he is surrounded by friends speaking in metaphors, while being protected by an enigmatic stranger and stalked by a deadly female assassin, toying with his mind at every turn. Will he be able to solve the riddles around him or will he be over-taken by the ever-increasing danger of being lost without love?
