N P @NicSarge 12/11/2024 "The Yellow Handkerchief" is a heartwrenchingly heartwarming tale of a guy, on the downside of life's fortune, given the chance of true love and happiness, and walks away from it time and time again. With a solid cast, great direction and cinematography, the grounded set piece of rural Louisiana and a sweet story, I couldn't help but feel for this small band of misfits driving across the state and sharing their truths gradually throughout the film. This was a genuine and graceful film that had a heart lot of heart in it - and you'll be sure to come out enumerated with the warmth of this story. See more 12/12/2018 The apparent news from the in people in the industry was that no distributer wanted to buy this movie. Despite a respectable cast, The Yellow Handkerchief has sat on the shelf for nearly three years. The director, Udayan Prasad, is something of an unknown quantity (he does not have any "A list" films on his resume), and no major distributor was willing to take a chance on such a listless, dialogue-intensive motion picture. The Samuel Goldwyn Company paid a minimal amount for the rights, viewing this as a low-risk, high-reward endeavor. They will no doubt heavily promote Kristen Stewart's involvement, hoping to bilk Twilight fans into seeing this movie.
