Zzyzx has a great plot, some great twists and very nice cinematography.

You see Kenny Johnson of The Shield play the other side of the law with the same raw intensity and vigor as we see him in the edgy cop show.

Zzyzx is one of the more interesting, low budget, horror films I have seen.

It is a competent neo-noir, a tale of backstabbing and double crosses that play out over a toasty afternoon in the middle of nowhere, efficiently told in a scant 80 minutes.
