From the outside, Graceland is the idyllic beachfront home of a group of diverse young roommates. On the inside, it's the residence and operations center of vital agents of the FBI, DEA and U.S. Customs -- the place got its name because it was seized from a drug lord obsessed with Elvis Presley. Young FBI agent Mike Warren is sent to Graceland, unexpectedly, while he is anticipating a traditional Washington desk job. Thrown into the fire with this undercover assignment, Warren relies heavily on mentor Paul Briggs, a senior agent who conceals the compound's activities from the world.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Graceland is a formulaic cop show, but its tight pacing and intriguing plot twists make for light, escapist fare.

The show gets by on atmosphere to the same degree its beachfront extras are dressed: just barely. Go to Full Review

No one is going to confuse Graceland with The Wire. But no one's going to be shooting up their television after watching it, either. Go to Full Review

Graceland touts a fun premise and likable characters, but also feels like a run-of-the-mill cop show format. Go to Full Review

I'm excited because it's establishing twisty alliances and character motives right off the bat-something that could make all the difference when it comes to the show's ability to deliver. Go to Full Review

It wouldn't hurt to pick up the pace, but Graceland is a successful move toward true grittiness. Go to Full Review

Andrei D Aug 18 A few story elements aren't well handled but the core characters are very likable and their cases mostly make sense See more 12/02/2015 Graceland didn't blow me away; they met my expectations for what I was getting. Like many summer shows aired by USA Network, Graceland is a flashy ensemble drama in a tropical setting, complete with beaches and bikini shots that delivers episodes that are separate cases, while broadly tying in to a overarching story. Like many of its counterparts, I often found myself getting bored at times because of this. The show suffers from attractive, but limited and wooden actors that look more like they belong in the X-Games, or a Gatorade commercial, than a television show, as evidenced by the abundance of shots of them shirtless, surfing, skating, flirting with random girls in beachwear, or talking like they belong in a punk band or rap group. Meet the chillest and allegedly "most elite" agents in the country, viewers. Understandably, the show isn't meant to be taken 100% seriously, regardless of how the producers wanted. Some of the detective or agent work is very simple and borderline obvious. Some of the cases end too conveniently. The show feels like a bro's night out in many episodes, with more scenes at bar parties than actually undercover. And lastly, how does anyone expect to believe that an agent can bust a drug cartel, then waltz across the city to rejoin his fellow agents in their beach house and call it a day without any concerns again and again? See more 09/14/2014 Incredible cast development since last season. I have become attached to several of the cast members. The story line is always developing and I feel the directors are taking on to an excellent path. See more 03/07/2014 WOW this show is amazing! It was slower the first two episodes but by the end, I was blown away! See more Read all reviews
