I wish we spent a little more time meeting the rest of her allies (Anson wasn't exactly the most pleasant of the bunch), but this was a taut one-episode mission that got us closer to where we need to be for the rest of the season.

Between this and the ongoing alt-right storyline, it's more and more evident that Homeland is doing a Trump season without Trump. Whether or not they ultimately pull it off, what began as an erratic season is starting to coalesce nicely.

With the main characters now all on very separate quests (Carrie and Saul have yet to share a scene together this season) to find their various truths, season seven re-muddies the waters just as they seemed to be getting clearer.
