Rob Schneider gained fame for the years he spent as a member of the "Saturday Night Live" ensemble in the 1990s, with appearances in a slew of films since then keeping him relevant. He was playing characters on those projects, but this series showcases his real life, or at least an "exaggerated yet brutally honest" version of it. It takes a look at the ups and downs of his personal and professional lives, interspersed with his standup comedy performances -- sounds kind of like a popular '90s sitcom, no? In addition to Rob, "Real Rob" stars his wife Patricia as herself and fellow comic Jamie Lissow as the star's hapless assistant.

We don't need to see the world through Rob Schneider's eyes. Go to Full Review

Real Rob has elements of Louie and Curb Your Enthusiasm's heightened reality, but the only thing that sets it apart from its predecessors is that it's not very good. Unfunny scenes are broken up with equally unfunny stand-up. Go to Full Review

Real Rob's undoing is in the doing too much. Schneider's mixing too many elements from too many shows, so he's unable to update them in any way. Go to Full Review

It's painfully unfunny, thanks to jaw-dropping stereotypes about Mexicans (they're good at breaking into things, will work for sandwiches, and can't be trusted!), disabled people (they take FOREVER!) and tired observations about living with his own wife. Go to Full Review

Rob Schneider's terrible 2012 sitcom Rob has been essentially resurrected online as the appalling and dull Real Rob. Go to Full Review

Linda M @RT09283221 Aug 7 I always liked Rob but this show is horrible!! Too much swearing and stupid episodes. Very unmeaningful. See more Christian E @RT49552280 01/27/2024 Real Rob robbed me of credibility for choosing TV shows. If this show played in a prison it would be cruel and unusual. Excuse me, I have to go the ba'room and take a big fat Schneider. Fartastic! See more 05/30/2021 Fantastic dry humor. Rob's wife is sexy and smart. See more 07/10/2020 This is one of his best artistic performances. He is witty, funny and sarcastic who is truthful to his feelings and lifestyle. See more 01/17/2020 This was the most incoherent pile of dung I have ever seen. See more andrew j @RT88210832 01/10/2020 I'm two episodes in and finding many laugh out loud moments, looking forward to the rest of the season. See more Read all reviews
