This long-running animated comedy focuses on the eponymous family in the town of Springfield in an unnamed U.S. state. The head of the Simpson family, Homer, is not a typical family man. A nuclear-plant employee, he does his best to lead his family but often finds that they are leading him. The family includes loving, blue-haired matriarch Marge, troublemaking son Bart, overachieving daughter Lisa and baby Maggie. Other Springfield residents include the family's religious neighbor, Ned Flanders, family physician Dr. Hibbert, Moe the bartender and police chief Clancy Wiggum.

It's all about Homer, of course, but it's the more peripheral characters that bag the best lines... Go to Full Review

In short, it's what you'd expect form a season of "The Simpsons." It's edgy enough to not be boring, but it's not so in-your-face obnoxious that you can still enjoy in on early prime-time television. Go to Full Review

Now nearing the 14-year mark, this series still revels in its irreverence. Go to Full Review

Most Emblematic Episode of the Season As a Whole: "I, (Annoyed Grunt)-Bot," because BattleBots was popular in 2001. This episode aired in 2004. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 8 Season Fifteen of The Simpsons takes a more restrained and cautious approach compared to previous seasons. By this point, the show is well-established and no longer aggressively expanding its universe or experimenting with outlandish plots. Instead, the focus shifts to maintaining the core elements that made Springfield and its residents beloved. The storytelling prioritizes familiar dynamics among the Simpson family and secondary characters, emphasizing humor, heart, and character consistency over ambitious world-building. While the season doesn’t break new ground or push creative boundaries as earlier seasons did, it succeeds in keeping longtime fans engaged and entertained. Season Fifteen demonstrates the show’s ability to sustain itself, balancing humor and familiarity while holding onto its audience without overextending itself. See more Jeffrey M @RT01695930 11/18/2023 The Simpsons Season 15 was an amazing season. The Simpsons Season 15 was a comeback from Season 14 and I was surprised that the episodes weren't like Season 16. The Simpsons Season 15 has a lot of good episodes comparing it to the circumstances that it is facing right now, but let me name a few exceptional episodes ( for this season ). I will name them in which I like least to best. The President Wore Pearls, The Regina Monologues, My Mother the Carjacker, and, my favorite, Treehouse of Horror XV. Some episodes I didn't like are Today I am a Clown and Bart Mangled Banner. Today I am a Clown wasn't really very centered around Krusty's bar mitzvah which should have been the main focus. It only really centered around Homer getting famous, which wasn't that funny. Bart Mangled Banner had a weird plot and it gave me Kill the Alligator and Run vibes. I give this season a 70%.
