Producer Sara Colleton's resume is short but impressive. Starting out as an assistant on the 1981 film "Taps," starring Tom Cruise, Timothy Hutton, and Sean Penn, Colleton produced her first film, "Renaissance Man," in 1994. Following another nearly decade-long gap, she returned to producing in 2001 with "Riding in Cars with Boys." An indie film with an all-star cast including Drew Barrymore, it was critically well received, winning several small awards. The next year, Colleton was an executive producer of the well received mini-series "Widows," followed by the HBO film "Live from Baghdad," for which she won a PGA Award. Colleton's first big-budget film came in 2006, when she was the executive producer on the Somerset Maugham adaptation "The Painted Veil," starring Naomi Watts and Edward Norton. By far her greatest success to date is the series "Dexter" about a murderous forensics expert. The series has been nominated for a remarkable 77 awards, while Colleton has received three PGA and Emmy nominations as the executive producer of the series.
