DA M @RT46136821 2d Quite possibly the dumbest and most ill conceived disaster movie ever. Should have gotten the Rock, but I doubt he is that hard up. Who thought of the idea alone of a floating building lol? I mean seriously, what were you thinking? How in any stretch of reality did the powers that be of this farce ever allow that through the cutting floor alone? Pigs flying would of been more believable. The real shame is somewhere "actors " actually list this garbage on their resumes I assume. I never was a fan of any Baldwin either, none of them are talented enough to rescue this disaster, but at least Alec would have been enjoyable to watch to some degree. I can't even recall a scene with this Baldwin in it, that's how poor of an impact he was. This movie was so bad I was actually rooting for the earthquake. See more Bill D. @bdube Jun 7 Bad storyline bad acting an extreme waste of time See more Jesse M @RT74486385 Jun 5 Manages to be terrible in every way, yet not entertaining in its awfulness. The plot is clearly ripped off from another terrible disaster movie (is that label redundant?) San Andreas, the acting and directing are lazy, the dialog is just a bunch of random sentences thrown together with words chosen at random from an intro geology textbook, the music is not only generic but doesn’t stop for a single second the whole movie, the special effects might be the best part (merely terrible instead of absolutely horrendous), and the science is so silly it makes me wonder if the creators are just mocking Earth Science in general. Btw, a 20.0 earthquake (besides being impossible given the strength of rocks), would release roughly the equivalent of 500,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons of TNT, roughly the equivalent of 16,500 years of energy output by the sun, or about same amount of energy if you were to somehow convert every bit of matter composing the Earth to energy. See more Dick D @Richard325 Mar 3 Worst movie ever, it was actually a comedy. Acting horrible, effects the worst, story horrible, I cant think of anything good about this film. See more Match D @JunkPost Feb 17 So stupid film and very lousy acting and so fake See more Fred R @Feidb Dec 25 20.0 Megaquake also known as San Francisco Megaquake also known as Disaster Strike Force was so bad even I couldn’t get past four episodes. The acting was terrible with those unfortunate people having the charisma of a flower vase. The special effects were spectacularly cheesy, the plot holes many, and suspended disbelief? Uh, even I couldn’t get that far and I have a high tolerance. This thing could’ve been done much better, maybe with more than a $1.50 budget but I don’t know. The inherent flaws in the story and premise were just about too much to overcome. Not recommended. By the way, in my version they start in Hawaii then move to Southern California, then...somewhere east... See more Read all reviews
