Catriona M @CattyMac 6d This docudrama should be viewed in every History, Poli-Sci, Sociology, Psychology and Ethics class, then discussed deeply. Art is a communication and this film is art -- a communication from its makers that opens the doors to deep conversation. The critics who provide low scores for this film have a narrow definition of what makes a good film. They seek entertainment and a familiar dramatic structure regurgitated in commercial films. "Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." One must be open-minded to allow for new forms of art and expression to emerge. Film is a medium. The purpose of an artistic communication through the medium of film is largely dependent upon its artists/creators. This film makes a bold artistic statement from the filmmakers' perspective. It starts the conversation. Whether you agree or not with the filmmakers, the themes are sophisticated and merit world-wide attention and discussion. It is a documentary and shows how we got here and where we are headed. See more Tina K Oct 23 This film is for anyone who is genuinely concerned about our fellow human beings all around the world, including those that live in abject poverty, who live in systems where obscene levels of socio-economic differences exist, etc. It's for those who are concerned about technology and privacy overreach, government overreach, human rights abuses, environmental abuses, etc. It's for those who want to get a glimpse of what could happen in a world where power, apathy and ignorance reigns unchecked. It's a good visual reminder of how dystopia in real life does exist (as in they are literally living in it) for millions perhaps billions of people in the world today. It's an important film esp in how it identifies some of people who are recklessly shaping our world into a place that they are using for their gain with little regard to how it impacts humans and the environment.
