If I could unwatch this movie, even if it was an extremely painful process, I would rather endure 97 minutes of physical pain than retain my memory of this film. The movies shows why cowbirds should not be given any protection under any treaty and should be eradicated as a species on the earth. All they do is destroy and possibly endanger birds who are more necessary to the planet, and this movie deserves five stars. It should have been a lot shorter (why only 4 stars). But it really shows how merciless cowbirds are, and they really had no purpose … like Martin. If they ended with a shot of Martin fading into a cowbird in a nest, it would’ve made a more satisfying ending. But again it was too long. A little over exposure to "boring" esthetic. --- (Storyline/Plot: 3.75/5) A full circle arc that has been done many many times but this one is definitely unique. --- (Acting: 4/5) Good acting by Imogen and Jesse, but the actors that played Martin and the boy were great! --- (Character Quality: 3.5/5) The characters themselves were fairly generic. The only interesting ones being the boy and Martin. --- (Entertainment Value: 3/5) Even for a 90 minute movie and getting straight to the point it seemed to drag a bit. I would have liked a greater variance in scenes. --- (Expectations vs. Reality: 3.75/5) I had only a slight idea of what this would be and it was about what was expected. I can appreciate the wierd it was going for.
