This documentary records four 1963 performances by London's Royal Ballet. The opening dance, "Les Sylphides," features Rudolf Nureyev as a poet inspired by the beautiful women around him, and is followed by Nureyev and his famous partner, Margot Fonteyn, performing a duet in "Le Corsaire." After the intricate full-ensemble choreography of "La Valse," Fonteyn takes center stage for the finale, the last act of Tchaikovsky's adaptation of the fairy tale "The Sleeping Beauty."
