After getting set up on a blind date through a mutual friend, Jeanie, a free-spirited social butterfly, and James, a divorced, buttoned-up professor, are surprised to learn they have great chemistry despite being total opposites. Their whirlwind courtship leads to James returning home early from an extended work trip abroad to be with Jeanie. Despite the chaos of meeting their respective loved ones, including James' opinionated ex-wife Claudia, they shock everyone by skipping the dating stage and deciding to get married. Now, they'll navigate this new normal together as they figure out what a love story looks like later in life.
