Young Leyva has a smile that lights up the screen, but the film makes the mistake of depicting several of the characters as though they were villains from some lesser movie. I thought the performances were good and its relatively thought provoking - the discrimination faced by the couple is frustrating and I can certainly imagine it having happened. It is somewhat sentimental - some people may feel its a bit too cheesy for their liking but I wouldn't say its entirely over the top in a forced sentimentality sense. Its sobering and thoughtful and there's also some amusing moments. I thought it was a relatively solid watch with a good story and so I'd recommend it on that basis.
