It was a bit slow without much excitement except for the action scenes near the end. There wasn't anyone I found myself rooting for. See more dave s @RT68722908 09/26/2022 Set in 1943, when a ragtag group of Moroccans and Algerians soldiers join the Allied forces to help liberate France, it quickly becomes evident that they are held to a different standard, used primarily as fodder for Axis bullets to determine where the German forces are encamped. Bolstered by strong performances from a mostly unknown cast and some stirring battle sequences, most notably the final push to liberate Alsace, Days of Glory is a powerful war film that brings attention to flagrant racism that existed within the ranks as Muslim soldiers, beyond being considered expendable in the war effort, are refused leave, provided with limited rations, and, many years later, denied their war pensions.
