Death Warrant is another typical 80's- early 90's action flick. It's cliche to a fault. The dialog is beyond campy, the action is a bit cheesy, and the plot is fairly predictable. Jean Claude Van Dame is one pretty cool dude. I wish he could've done more work in today's industry. He round house kicks his way through every bad guy in the prison. Very typical JCVD... I can't recommend this... but if you like his work or enjoy martial arts/action movies, then this is entertaining enough.

Jean-Claude stars as Louis Burke, a no-nonsense Canadian Mountie who tracks notorious serial killer Christian "The Sandman" Naylor to an abandoned building somewhere in these imperfect United States. Having recently murdered our hero's partner, this sadistic madman is pretty psyched about rounding out a perfect pair of kills. Going against the orders of his American counterparts, Burke invades The Sandman's derelict hideout and places a few rounds of white hot lead in this seedy villain's heaving chest. Naylor seemingly drops dead, Louis gets chewed out by his superiors, and we're finished with the film's nifty little introduction.
