Rolla G @Rollagirl Sep 18, 2026 Deep Cover is what happens when Bryce Dallas Howard discovers that undercover work is basically improv comedy with a gun. Chaotic, ridiculous, and way more fun than it has any right to be. Howard is fantastic. Equal parts "I’ve got this" and "Oh no, I absolutely do not have this." 5/5 would accidentally join another criminal organization. See more azeem H @Azeem1 Sep 1, 2026 Highly entertaining, the premise of the film is quite dumb, Sean Bean's grizzled veteran cop hires two actors and IT support worker from an improv class to infiltrate a drugs ring. The twist because it's Sean Bean is well you guessed it and also the fact that Bean is actually doing this without authorisation. This leads to some hilarious misunderstandings including a family/friends intervention. The acting is all solid with a great supporting cast as well. While it isn't one I would rush to watch again if it was on late night telly, I could happily sit and watch. Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, and Nick Mohammed make the chaos sing, with every bad decision somehow leading to an even worse one. It’s silly, sharp, and surprisingly sweet. A crime movie where the biggest danger might be competence.
