This movie starts off in the 1800's where a top hat is found buried on David Carridine's land (funny can't find listing on IMDB to check the character's name) The hat carries a curse from an Indian shaman. The people of the land are afflicted where they have to go out in the vernal rain or they dry up & die. So a family is chosen via lottery to sacrifice one of their children. The sickness returns in the 50s and in present day as well. The movies not really scary, more like a day at the beach. When a family fails to sacrifice a child a ghoulish main with Piranha looking teeth is the bounty hunter for the chosen. Dark fields by the title you'd think its somewhat like the children of the corn (tho I guess in way) However the movie might have some sitting on the edge of their seats and others getting a major case of A.D.D. D
