Movie Info

Force 10 From Navarone was a sequel to the 1961 blockbuster The Guns of Navarone and tells the tale of ten widely divergent WW II troubleshooters who attempt to blow up a crucial bridge in Yugoslavia. As in the first Navarone film, one of the guerillas is a traitor: group leader Mallory (Robert Shaw) knows the identity of the turncoat, but can't prove it until it's almost too late. The beautiful female resistance leader is played by Barbara Bach, while Harrison Ford, fresh from his Star Wars success, is the romantic lead. Others in the cast include Edward Fox, Franco Nero and Alan Badel.

Force 10 is a mission that should probably have been aborted.

To say it's action-packed is an understatement

Feb 7, 2006 | Rating: 3/5

A very cool, unpretentious war film about a mission to blow up a dam.

Feb 10, 2003 | Rating: 4/5

Entertaining war flick shadowed by superior original.

Jan 25, 2003 | Rating: 4/5

A guilty pleasure to be sure, but Ford is great and Robert Shaw's final speech is irresistible.

Audience Reviews for Force 10 From Navarone

Standard bit about our early special forces boys going against the evil Nazis plotting world demise. There's no surprises here, none at all, but everyone does gives their money's worth. Not bad, but not good either.

Your typical bank holiday afternoon flick which you watch cos you have nothing much else to do haha Classic cast....Ford, Shaw, Nero, Kiel, Bach, Weathers etc.. in a daring WW2 mission much on the form of all other war flicks of the time, nothing wrong with that but its very predictable and full of wooden German soldier acting and plenty of now dated looking effects. Very much the same type of star studded war flick like The Dirty Dozen and Where Eagles Dare, this was a big release and popular stuff yrs ago, based on a MacClean novel and a good boys own adventure its pretty much for the guys only haha Carl Weathers early performance is a treat to behold haha ;) really.

Exciting action-adventure sequel to the classic Guns of Navarome with cool cast including my favourite number one idol, Harrison Ford.

The idea of a sequel to The Guns Of Navarone (that has nothing at all to do with it) sounds deeply unpromising, but this is a reasonably efficient WWII action film. Unspectacular but inoffensive.
