Critic Reviews for Kids in Love
While the film's balmy good vibes are occasionally infectious, the narrowness of its worldview does begin to grate.
Kids in Love treads the line between a video commercial for Anthropologie and the creeping anxiety of reality and adulthood that threaten to crash the funky, bohemian party of a group of London teens.
Not everyone will be charmed by the film's uncritical depiction of upper-crust privilege, but the ever-watchable Poulter holds things together, while Cara Delevingne, perfectly at home in this milieu, adds her customary boho chic in a supporting role.
Messy for sure, and the boho backdrop will alienate/irritate, but Foggin adeptly captures the flush of first love.
Audience Reviews for Kids in Love
The ambition is here and 50 percent of the casting works, it's the undercooked script that stops this from taking off. I hate the cliche pitfall of the boyfriend being a great guy on the surface but is a horrible person underneath. Can't they just make the main guy a bit of the villain because he is trying to jump on the guys girlfriend? Makes sense to me, still going to be a lot of conflict.
