Movie Info

While Louise Brooks had a relatively brief career as a Hollywood actress, her striking beauty (complete with distinctive "helmet" hair style) and stunning performances in two films by G. W. Pabst (Pandora's Box and Diary Of A Lost Girl) made her a cult object whose legend continued to shine long after she retired to a reclusive life devoted to writing. Louise Brooks: Looking For Lulu is a documentary about her life and career, which includes rare film clips, historic photographs and a previously unreleased interview with Brooks which was filmed in 1976.

Audience Reviews for Louise Brooks: Looking for Lulu

To me Louise Brooks is one of the most interesting Hollywood icons ever. This hour long documentary documents her life from the early days in Kansas to her later Hollywod ressurection. This documentary comes as an extra on many of the Pandora's Box DVDs including the Criterion and the UK DVD.
