isla s 09/13/2022 This is a sad tale with what I thought was an element of over acting from Penelope Cruz. It's a film you'll need tissues for, if your prone to crying while watching films, put it that way. I thought the son was well played by Asier Etxeandia. It is quite a melodramatic film and had a bit of TV film or soap type feel to it but I can't put it down too much. I imagine it gives a fair portrayal of what life may feel/seem like, from a domestic perspective, for a middle aged lady who suddenly discovers she has breast cancer - something I can't imagine having to deal with, seemingly out of nowhere. It feels wrong to criticise this too much but I did feel like it seemed/felt a bit naff somehow. There were one or two borderline poignant moments. I suppose overall I wouldn't especially recommend this but if your a fan of Cruz's work then it may be worth seeing - I'll leave that up to you to decide. See more Read all reviews
