The Mad is about sirloin sullied by a strain of Mad Cow Disease that's so virulent, it turns those who consume the quarter-pounders into brainless, murderous zombies... well-done!
The acting (Zane is really in top comedy form here), the cinematography, the gore; it's all top-notch. Hell, even the music is appropriate. It's just too bad it couldn't have gotten one more pass in the editing bay before it was completed.
Finally a zombie horror flick that treats the subject matter the way it deserves to be treated: detached amusement. OK while not high budget, I still found it to be entertaining if in a quirky and strange way. The relationship between father and daughter (Zane and Castle) anchors the film.
I couldn't believe how bad this was. What a stinker. Is this how far Billy Zane has fallen. Even he stunk in this.
Dreadful film not even funny.
