Joanna T @aerialgirly92 1d Thoroughly entertaining for a light-hearted watch. I liked it! Mike & Dave are brothers who get into mischief at every fam event. Their parents want them to bring dates to their younger sister's wedding in Hawaii, so they don't rile each other up & ruin the event. They post an ad on Craigslist. It goes viral. They're interviewed on tv. Two broke bad girls see the ad & fake a chance meeting with the boys, in which 1 girl throws herself in front of a car, gets hit, then pretends that 1 of the brothers saves her life. The bros ask the girls to join them in Hawaii. They don't have sex w/ the boys. Turns out the girls are good at riding ATV's. 1 bro tries to ride like them but hits his sister & messes up her face. The girls get a masseuse to give the sis a happy ending. 1 bad girl jerks off a lesbian to get concert tix, but a bro catches her. Bride is worried her hubby is too boring but he surprises her w/ honeymoon tix she wanted. All ends well, aside from fireworks gone wrong. It’s low level humor but there is something about DeVine’s performance that works so well for me. It’s a cheap trick but the amount of other movie references becomes a joke itself in such quotable ways. Ridiculous & overdone in every way yet it just goes for it in really entertaining ways. Extremely predictable & definitely overstays its welcome but this is such a good dumb movie.
