Acting was good but the characters were archetypes of codependents and it ended as you thought it would. The Millers self sabotaging themselves. Yawn. Maybe that was the point. See more Bob L @bobbylynch99 03/17/2025 We watched Lion the day before this movie, and watching this was the most self loathing, depressing movie we have watched in ages. You literally leave this movie fully depressed. All the actors are good - don’t get me wrong - but there is basically no story arc and everyone ends up broken up. If the goal was to make the audience melancholy, well, they nailed it. The only redeeming quality of this movie was in the architecture and visuals of the countryside and cobblestone and brick facades the viewer sees.
