The actors all ham it up to a degree suited to a project so flat, cheap and derivative, which helps keep “Mindcage” at least watchable, if never exceptional. Go to Full Review

Malkovich and Martin Lawrence aren't enough to elevate director Mauro Borrelli's throwback to 1990s serial killer films. Go to Full Review

The psychological thriller has its rules and twists, but Mindcage does not provide anything at all to encourage a watch. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

We can admire and enjoy the fact that Mindcage winds up doing things we don’t anticipate, but the film might have been better served if it got more outrageous a little earlier. Go to Full Review

Shadow O @RT26975810 Aug 30, 2026 Extremely disappointing. A cheap knockoff of silence of the lambs, the bone collector and fallen. Had amazing potential, but with poor acting, and a weak storyline plot made it horrible. Would give it zero stars if I could. See more Andy S @Splinter33 Aug 25, 2026 The story had potential and the pacing was good. Whoever cast this movie really made some big blunders imo. None more egregious than Martin Lawrence, however. Who consistently takes scenes that could be impactful, suspenseful, fearful, etc and sucks all the potential out of them. See more Aiden E @RT13770629 Jul 12, 2026 garbage blatant rip off of the silence of the lambs, even john malcovitchs performance could save this disaster See more Michael D @RT34111640 Jul 8, 2026 Terrible all around. See more Alyssa W @misty-carrot-277 Jul 2, 2026 While this movie has good potential, the acting was quite lackluster. Martin Lawrence is absolutely *not* a drama/thriller actor, and his co-lead Melissa Roxburgh was so bland. I thought John Malcovich could pull his character off, but everyone around him was so boring, it was hard not to fall asleep. The "twist" made me audibly go WTF. Overall I'd give it a 3.5/10 See more Michael D @RT54178660 Jun 4, 2026 Even a great Malkovich can't save this trainwreck. Make-up and props departments talents was wasted here.
