It is about Joanna who moves with her scatterbrain mother to a country village to take up her first job as district nurse. Juliet Lewis and Ronald Lewis give excellent performances. The screenplay is well written. Gerald Thomas did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the humor. Nurse on Wheels is a must. See more 04/28/2016 After this film, Gerald Thomas spent the rest of the 60's and 70's mainly directing the Carry On Series which made his name, and it's a good thing too as this comedy is terrible. It features a few Carry On stalwarts despite not being in the same style, but they don't add much to proceedings as the rather straight script offers little in the way of jokes.
