A definite must watch 💝💝💝 See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Jul 17 Peppermint is one of Jennifer Garner’s strongest performances in years, and I honestly enjoyed it much more than I expected. While many people dismiss it as another revenge-driven action movie, I think it offers much more than that. Garner delivers an emotional performance that makes you feel her grief, determination, and relentless pursuit of justice. The story is heartbreaking from the very beginning, giving you every reason to root for her character. The action sequences are intense, well choreographed, and keep the movie moving without overshadowing the emotional core. It’s definitely not a perfect film, and there are moments where the writing takes familiar turns, but none of those flaws were enough to take me out of the experience. Overall, I found Peppermint to be compelling, entertaining, and surprisingly emotional. It’s a well-made action thriller that I enjoyed from beginning to end and one I’d happily watch again. Empathy and maternal instincts set this vigilante assassin apart from the typical Hollywood dark heroine. Enough plot twists to keep things interesting. Don't know why the critics gave such bad reviews, the audience score on here is a much better reflection of this movie. I sometimes think the critics are just snobs. Fairly standard revenge movie plot, but with a female protagonist. Very violent throughout. Worth a watch but wouldn't watch it twice. See more John J @Satan69 Feb 12 Every critic's review that I read is suspect. Peppermint is a dramatization of very real problems and, how corruption rules the streets AND the courts/judicial system. To slam and dismiss Peppermint as egregious is to cast oneself into either naiveness or, as corrupt. Jennifer Garner should be applauded for taking and taking on the lead role in this movie because, she had to know that doing so would put her in the line of fire. Imagine seeing your child and husband gunned down. Imagine being bribed by the attorney defending the killers of your child and husband - killers you unquestionably can identify because you saw them. Then, imagine the judge presiding over the murder trial of those killers looking you dead in the eye and, ordering you into the psyche ward after he dismisses the charges those killers are being falsely absolved of. Or, maybe you don't need to imagine those scenarios because you've lived them. Peppermint isn't a GREAT film but, it's a sincere and comforting. See more Read all reviews
