Ken P @RT95896416 15h Yet another romcom that's neither funny or romantic Gerard Butler plays a retired soccer player trying and failing to reconnect to his son living in u.s. he's a brit,so he moves back to Virginia? where he's treated like a punk by his son's mother (Jessica Beil) who's remarrying someone else. He gets a job as a soccer coach to some local kids team Dennis Quaid plays one the kids dad and other actresses make cameos. This film has a paper thin plot filled with characters you won't give shit about and as much as I do like Gerard Butler this is a boring film I didn't laugh once and the kid actor playing his son a complete nothing. Jessica Beil is wasted in this and her character is an unlikable c**t this movie sucks so bad I was hoping it switch to a horror film and some Micheal myers like psycho would start killing all the shitty characters or an Armageddon like fireball would land on top of the soccer field during the match. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Does it check all the boxes for the reason it was made, absolutely. I'm a movie lover and think the so called "Critics" are pathetic. They give the StepUp movie a 45% and this movie a 5%. Do yourself a favor and give the movie your own review by watching it and deciding for yourself. I'm a Gerard Butler fan and think his performance in this was believable.
