Movie Info

Following the murder of her rich parents, 16-year-old Sharon Hartly (Candace Cameron) becomes so traumatized that she turns mute and catatonic. When she attacks a responding police officer during the investigation, Hartly quickly finds herself the main suspect. Assigned to the case, psychiatrist Laurel O'Connor (Mel Harris) must help the damaged girl regain her sanity. However, O'Connor comes to believe that Hartly is innocent, despite what the authorities and her boss (Elaine Kagan) believe.
