Movie Info

Strapped is a made-for-cable coming-of-age movie about an intelligent Black teenager (Bokeem Woodbine) who struggles to survive in the housing projects of Brooklyn. In order to stay alive, Woodbine has to perform all manners of shady activities, whether it's running guns or selling secrets to the police. Forest Whitaker's directorial debut is a textured and moving drama, highlighted by an excellent performance by Woodbine.
