This is one of those films with a personality disorder. It tries so hard to look and feel like an Americain movie, but it never succeeds. This is the true story of one of Canada's most important criminal, Lucien Rivard. Some of the stuff in the film is speculation, as the main character is link with the assassination of John F. Kennedy among other things. Cinematography is great and Charles Binamé does good with the script he is given, but here's the problem, the screenplay. It's got no structure, pass over the most interesting events and tries to cover too much. It's a shame, cause it was written by a veteran TV writer, who should have known better. The acting is strong and the subject is at least interesting, but it's never enough to make it a good film.
