Amateurish Italian Texas Chainsaw Massacre is largely unwatchable, or rather, unSEEable - the picture is so dark during the nighttime outdoor scenes, which is half the movie, that you don't know what's going on! Even when you do, there's not much you haven't seen done much better before to hold interest. One star for their one moment of inspiration: a man & woman are rescued from a gang of young thugs & rapists, only to find that their rescuers are even more heinous!
A film with a MAJOR identity crisis.
A little Texac Chainsaw Massacre, a little Last House On The Left, with a nod to Romero's Martin - hell...there is even a little Boxing Helena in there!
While there is not a whole lot that is original, it is still a lot of fun for horror fans. More specifically fans of Giallo and/or 70's exploitation/horror.
It's not for everyone but I thought it was a nice reminder of old school Italian horror with shades of Hills Have Eyes and Chainsaw Massacre thrown in.
Makes me miss the 80's. More.
This is part of the new Ghost House Underground Collection. Don't think its the best one of the collection, the dub in voices sucked, sounds like the same people who dubbed the early asia kung fu flix. To me this one was a dissapointment, and in no way compaors to the 1960 - 1979 Italian Horror flix that are out there. I'd save my money and rent this one. You will not find it in my collection.
