Despite its star cast, The Outlaws never feels bigger than a made-for-TV movie. If you paid to see it on the big screen you’d certainly feel robbed, but it gets away with being a decent enough, watch-and-forget viewing on a rainy winter night.

This film was losing me for the first 30 minutes of the runtime. I saw where it was going, and the story beats were making me groan more often than laugh. But then, around the vegan bakery scene, the movie suddenly got really good and really funny. Once the premise is done and it is just Adam Devine, Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin working off each other, that is when the movie has some legitimate laughs and surprising heart. Half the movie is hard to sit through, but the other half has some good jokes.

my mom wanted to watch it. I legit hated it. I've actually never kept such a straight face before until now. it was the most unfunniest thing ever. the main character is genuinely frustrating and watching this movie made me feel stressed and awkward so I genuinely just walked out of the room, DNF
