Many thoughts for your perusing: - Stunning cinematography (interestingly juxtaposed against subject matter): beautiful sprawling landscapes, the sky looks painted, and each scene is like a haunting still shot - Excellent use of close ups oooooo, especially that mic drop final shot!! - Segundo and Rosa/Kiepja are doing so much while saying very little; such incredible, emotionally charged performances - Really love the “revisionist western” concept and the nods to various forms of exploitation incl film itself. It does not shy away from the truth, so given the subject matter this is very unsettling, disturbing, and violent, both visually and via dialogue - Slow burn is a little too slow, but the ominous score helps keep your attention.
