great action film that focuses on michael jai white having to fight in a foreign prison. this is a film that is quietly better then the original film. white is so much more skilled in the ring then rhames who fought wesley snipes in the original. don't look for any story and you'll enjoy this film

Michael Jai White plays a former heavy-weight American boxing champion George "The Iceman" Chambers who is framed while in Russia and thrown in jail. The only way to live is to fight the reigning champion Yuri Boyka but first George has to learn how to fight (because he is a boxer and he has to learn mix martial arts) so he gets fight lessons from Crot ( nicely played by Eli Danker) who teaches him the way to go. Scott Adkins plays his bad guy to the hilt with his villainous portrayal of a Russian MMA underground fighter Boyka. This movie has some unbelievably heart stopping fight scenes and we also find ourselves cheering for the old timer who wants nothing more than to meet his niece. If you are a martial arts movie fan, this is must see. Great stuff with a really cute ending too; now bring on Undisputed 3!

Now this is rare!! a cheap straight to DVD sequel that not only is better than the original but a really good stand alone film!! Here we have Michael Jai White replacing Rhames as 'Chambers' and being setup on a drug charge to get him into a Russian jail to fight the top inmate...Scott Adkins as 'Boyka'. The plot is stripped down and the most basic excuse for a 'beat em up' I've come across for some time haha add to that the usual cliched inmate characters along with the usual vicious prison guards and warden and you have your usual prison flick. The main difference here is the amazing fight sequences performed by Adkins who, after seeing 'Ninja', has become the most impressive martial artist I have seen in a long long time. The man is solid, well built and can move gracefully achieving moves I have only seen in computer games, his acting isn't too bad in this film either to be honest...no worse than a young JCVD. I can't lie, this film is the best fighter I've seen since the early days of Mr JCVD and films like 'Bloodsport' and 'Kickboxer' yet this film is so much more realistic, bloody and with much much better fight sequences. The fights are fast fluid and breathtaking as gymnastics are combined with stunt work to produce battles you would expect to see in the 'Tekken' computer game, I can't begin to say how impressed I was when I was expecting just a run of the mill crappy poorly made B-movie. The only thing that let it down was the simple fact that I don't think Chambers could learn and become good at kickboxing in that short space of time plus I'm pretty sure in a real fight a kickboxer would beat a boxer but any ways expect to be surprised.

This is way better than the original film. It's explosive and heart-pounding from start to finish. The best American made martial arts action film in years. An action classic. An adrenaline-charged action-packed edge of your seat thrill-ride that packs some of the most intense, mind-blowing and bone-crushing martial arts sequences I've seen in some time. It's stylish, hard-core, gripping and wickedly entertaining. One cool as hell action flick that delivers. A stunning, thrilling and well-crafted piece of action movie. Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins are just pure dynamite, they deliver with their great performances and power packed fight sequences. These two set the screen on fire with their extraordinary energy. A tremendously exhilarating movie. This film in every sense of the word is a knockout.
