Alexander B @RT36625204 Aug 14 There are some intriguing ideas like gamifying surviving in a potentially virtual existence. I’ve been seeing more shows like this. The issue with this show is the writing and acting, it falls flat on its face. There are too many plot holes and everything seems so forced. In one episode they spent so much time to give the backstory of what seems like a ninja in the show, which failed to show how this person has such extraordinary martial arts skills, only to kill this person off immediately. I learned more about this character than I’ve learned from some of the protagonists. There is also this one character that always has his hands in his pockets, really bad form. Love the characters and the creators for not being afraid of killing off characters you grow attached to/sympathies with in the beginning. Probably one of my favorite series. The suspense, survival challenges and unexpected twists made the season even more enjoyable. I also liked how the emotional moments and character development were balanced with action and mystery.
