See more TheGamingLatte T @RT28348374 Aug 16 Ark was one of the first games I've ever played, I have over 2000 hours on it and when I heard they were making an animated series I was absolutely hyped! But words can not express the absolute disappointment I felt when watching it. The lore in Ark -in my opinion- is one of the best in gaming history even beating stuff like the last of us for me and this had such a potential to be great and they fumbled it SO hard. If you are thinking about watching this don't, if you want to watch an actual good depiction of the story telling of Ark watch Neddy The Noodle's "Ark: The Complete Survival Stories" on YouTube they beat this egregious animated garbage at everything. I could go on for hours about how horrible this show is but the creators don't deserve my time. And for anyone who was involved in making this, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. 0/10 id rather watch paint dry then watch this again. The show touches on many interesting aspects of history and the culture in theses time periods of history from each character's unique perspective. The animation quality is very good and the voice acting is top notch with a star studded cast. A must watch for fans of the series and a very good story/mystery for those unfamiliar with the games. Even if it doesn't adapt 1:1 the game and its lore and story points, I genuinely think that there is still something golden here, the characters are enjoyable, and I think that the story is a fun take on the ark world (even though I prefer it less than the game's story). The action and animation are really well done and seeing a bunch of mechanics and creatures from a game I really love was really awesome to see! I think this show is worth a watch.
