Disillusioned at the thought of taking down another "mark," depressed, low-level hit man Barry Berkman seeks a way out. When the Midwesterner reluctantly travels to Los Angeles to execute a hit on an actor who is bedding a mobster's wife, little does Barry know that the City of Angels may be his sanctuary. He follows his target into acting class and ends up instantly drawn to the community of eager hopefuls, especially dedicated student Sally, who becomes the object of his affection. While Barry wants to start a new life as an actor, his handler, Fuches, has other ideas, and the hit man's criminal past won't let him walk away so easily.

If this all sounds very bleak, well, it kind of is. It's so dark that most fans and critics question whether the show can even be called a comedy anymore. It's a fair question, but if it isn't a comedy, it has absolutely no business being this damn funny.

Season 3 had a complete tone change. While the previous seasons balanced the darkness and humor pretty well, S3 went pitch black. I enjoyed the change. It proved the show can evolve and outside of its traditional formula. (68%)

There is a significant tone shift in this season of the show but I think they handled it quite well, Bill Hader’s acting is amazing and the ending really gets you excited for season 4.

I’m giving it a 3.5 only because I didn’t like where the story went. It was sad, depressing and all the characters seem to be totally different. It was still a great season, it was just a bit too depressing. Nothing was going right for any of feb characters ever.

I loved the first two seasons. Season 3, something is wrong...its like someone else is writing the show, kind of like The Simpsons after season 8. Barry seems to have lost his heart, soul and intelligence. Its weird. Disjointed.
