Restoring and flipping cars can be a lucrative business for firms that do it. One such company is Gotham Garage, which is at the center of this series. Owner Mark Towle leads a colorful crew, which overhauls an eclectic collection of cars with the goal of trading their way up to a showstopper that can be sold for big bucks. As the title "Car Masters: Rust to Riches" suggests, Towle and his crew are hoping they can use their sweat equity and sheer car genius to turn their rusty wrecks into six-figure paydays.

07/31/2022 At this point, the show is almost a parody of itself. Constance's t-shirts are even tighter and they're still pretending that she's a mechanic, there's still the fake drama between the "artist" and the "used car salesman," and they are hyping up even stupider ideas than in the previous seasons. I literally felt sick to my stomach when I watched them chop the top off of a long '60s four-door Cadillac and then heat the springs with a torch to lower it. That's the point when I turned it off, but who knows? Maybe they were planning on putting an extra set of wheels under the car in the middle to keep it from folding in half. The one bright side is they've stopped showing close-ups of the paint jobs, so the orange peel isn't nearly as bad this season. The customs they do are pretty run-of-the-mill, and when they do go outside of the box, it's just nasty. Why would you paint the top half of a ratrod seafoam green? Why would you put a Bugatti grill in the top of a motorcycle fairing? And when they calculate how much they've made in profit, they nearly always leave out the cost of the parts they put on the car, as though they were free. This show has jumped the shark. See more 07/30/2022 All this stupid drama get's old really quick. The terrible scripted 'jokes' the pretend to be the important boss, the important client, the important deadline. This whole thing feels like a cheap 1950's third rate roap. Which is a shame, because all they really just need to do is show cool cars being build without all the BS. See more Read all reviews
