What to Know

Critics Consensus

Colin From Accounts may have taken a non-traditional comedic route through the romance genre, but in three seasons it stayed the unruly, empathetic, heartfelt path enough to land straight in everyone's hearts.

To many, these people may look like disasters. But to viewers, they’re among the most lovable figures on TV. Part of the credit goes to an affable ensemble of dialed-in performers. Go to Full Review

I will say that the conclusion to the series feels honest, wise, and poignant, and that there are a lot of big laughs along the way to that ending. What a gem. Go to Full Review

At the heart of all that is the wistful electricity between Gordon and Ash, a boisterous yearning that carries Colin from Accounts into the pantheon of great television romcoms Go to Full Review
James Walton The Spectator Oct 15, 2026
Throughout its run, perhaps the most impressive aspect of the show was its perfect control of tone: one that constantly undercut the essential sweetness with lots of rudery, yet never undermined it. Go to Full Review

Colin from Accounts overall is a very charming and funny romantic comedy series that explores the topics of love and relationships in less-than-traditional ways. It is written well, heartbreaking at times, and a truly worthy journey. Go to Full Review

Everyone seems more relaxed this time around. There’s a “no worries” vibe as they steer the story toward an inevitable end, whatever that might be. As long as Col’s fine, we’ll be right. Go to Full Review

Nicole T @Nicole232 4 days ago Obsessed with the first two seasons — genuinely one of the best Aussie shows ever. But the last season stressed me the f out! I was basically having a panic attack right alongside Gordy on my couch under my weighted blanket. Kinda felt like it lost some of that innocent charm that made the first two seasons so sweet. Would 3000% sign up for season 4 though. See more Tana W @RT45554883 Sep 30, 2026 This show makes you laugh out loud and pee your pants with the absurdity of the physical and written comedy, but just when you recover from that, you get suckerpunched with moments of raw, unapologetic emotions building on themes of fate and true love. It makes you hope that in a world full of missed opportunities, that sometimes, we can be lucky enough to find love in all the mess that life (or fate) throws at you. Fantastic series. Amazing acting everyone. Great writing and character development/depth. I mean the quips from Lee even, you love to hate him! Just all around kudos to the entire cast and writing team. Thank you! See more Nick M @RT36455372 Sep 27, 2026 Perfect from start to finish. Charming, funny, emotional. It has everything. Amazing. See more Leon H @RT13589101 Sep 24, 2026 Not just one of the best comedy series of recent times but one of the greatest things on TV this year. Season 1 was fantastic, season 2 didn't quite scale those heights (ending with a horribly out of character decision by Gordy which almost put me off season 3). Thank God I stayed with it as this final season has been a huge return to form and I cannot recommend this show highly enough. Half a star knocked off for episode 5 (Druggy druggy sex party) which was utter tripe. Please Patrick and Harriet - don't do a Ted Lasso and come back with a weak as pish 4th season to tarnish what has come before... See more Laura C @RT22357146 Sep 20, 2026 Well written and hilarious See more Jim W @JimWaugh Sep 18, 2026 This series is on a par with "Detectorists" and "Small Prophets". I'm my mind that's extremely high praise. Can't fault it. Love it. See more Read all reviews
