The show is generally amusing, sometimes very funny and easy to watch as an evolving story of family. Go to Full Review

...Dang! promises a fresh perspective but offers none, repeatedly cribbing plots and punchlines from Broad City and BoJack Horseman. Go to Full Review
Alison Herman Variety Sep 8, 2026
Many new comedies these days suffer from a compressed run that offers little room to riff and experiment. By keeping a tight focus on its nuclear unit, “Dang!” avoids this issue with a compact concept that never feels too big for its vessel. Go to Full Review

Dang! provides both laughs and smiles in the grand tradition of animated family comedies like Bob's Burgers; it's a bit too blue to watch with kids, but families with mature teens and up will find this a watch-together treat. Go to Full Review

DANG! is definitely a fun time, although your connection probably won’t go much deeper than that. Go to Full Review

Connie Y @Phosphene 5 days ago Love love this relatable witty show with Asian representation!! See more Mihi H @RT48567398 Oct 16, 2026 Painfully unfunny… I usually never write reviews but seeing the tomatometer, I had to. Usually a fan of new adult animation, I was severely disappointed. The characters are complete stereotypes, and the parody is very badly written. The jokes are completely unoriginal and the raunchiness leaves the viewer with a lingering sense of secondhand embarrassment. See more Abigail G @abigailanne00 Oct 6, 2026 Super funny with some morally gray characters. Woke but not so woke it’s painful to watch, can’t wait for season two. See more Robbi C @RT11999562 Sep 29, 2026 Mediocrity at it's finest, Dang! humor is based on what Executives think young people could find funny, With unlikable characters and memes from 2020 this show becomes a cringefest very quickly See more Robert C @RT06316267 Sep 23, 2026 The biggest flaw about this show was the terrible trailer on Netflix that included the punchline of almost all the best jokes that play into Asian stereotypes with none of the setup context around that joke. In fact this show does a wonderful job of showing very real pressure Asian children face from their family and the general public stereotyping them to show how trying to live up to these "good" stereotypes are impossible causing each of them to go through hilarious hardships created solely by themselves. Like Andrew is the horniest gay guy in existence potentially and was even a co-founder of a highly successful start up with his white counter part trying to oust him. Immediately I thought the white guy was trying to take credit of the minority but they reverse that stereotype because Andrew is an idiot who spreading office gossip. The white guy is a complete dick, but he actually did do all the work that Andrew mooched off of. Good show, try it out. See more E M @TricksterPhobia Sep 23, 2026 I like the mix of a decent pace and chaos. A lot of shows today are generally very fast paced and loud, which can be a bit overwhelming. But this show did a good job at balancing itself. The characters are interesting, and the voice acting is really good. The first season carries itself very well as an independent show, but I am hopeful for a second season or more to come in the future. There is a lot of story potential, both with Ruthie's single-parent pregnancy and how she is trying to build her village with her emotionally distant younger siblings. But also with Eunice and Andrew's co-depencies, and how they navigate through daily life and relationships. There's a lot of character nuance to be explored. It would be genuinely saddening to see Netflix drop this show after a single season. I think that it has a lot of potential. See more Read all reviews
