Aye E @RT43717499 May 26 This is as defining a production of Emma as is the 1995 Pride & Prejudice is to all productions of P&P. Romola Garai captured the emotional beats with perfect subtlety and accuracy, it made me feel like I could see the character for who she is for the first time. Everyone was perfection, Tasmin Greig as Ms. Bates was just as effecting in her performance. The quality of the casting, the adaptation, the hair and costumes, and sets, from start to finish are so well done I don't know why this isn't spoken of as much as the other adaptations in the fandom.
