Since they could hold up to 650 slaves each it doesn't bear thinking how many chained African people met a terrible, terrifying death in the stinking, dark hole below deck. But it behoves us to think about it. Go to Full Review

10/26/2020 Its early days in Canada; we have only watched 2 episodes. I like the educational part, such as learning about the motivation of other Africans to sell their own. However, I do not understand how diving gives voices to the dead enslaved Africans. The divers recovered ivory in the second part. Are they intending to dig up bones, to have them analysed for provenance? Thousands of ships went down in the English channel, such as the infamous Armada. How can the divers know for sure that they are salvaging a ship belonging to enslavers? I seek to educate myself about history and slavery; this show falls short in my view. Sorry Samuel!!
