Eyes of Wakanda is a triumph for Harris, whose storytelling flair leaps from genre to genre, from a sand-and-sandal epic to a swashbuckling pirate adventure. Go to Full Review

“Eyes of Wakanda” mirrors the best of Marvel’s one-shots: supplemental material enriching the story’s larger world while carving out its own identity. Go to Full Review

Without a popular hero to lead with, Eyes Of Wakanda instead relies on the infinite potential of the Wakandan brand to great effect; the result is beautifully crafted but feels somewhat incomplete. Go to Full Review

While beautifully animated and voice-acted, the big problem is that at four sub-30-minute episodes, there’s just not enough of the show to really dig into. Go to Full Review

There's no reason to skip Eyes of Wakanda, as it's the perfect example of great supplementary material for the MCU. However, by the final episode, it's clear that this source material deserves to be more than supplementary. Go to Full Review

The visuals are top tier, which goes a long way, of course, and the storytelling is mostly entertaining (if a little side-swiped by some odd humor), it’s just not quite substantial enough to be truly memorable. Go to Full Review

David D @David2026 Sep 1, 2026 Single message short episodes lean to hard into the message rather than a flow. Not having continuity characters doesn't help and I don't mean necessarily those from the films. See more Bobby S @BobTheMovieNerd Sep 1, 2026 Literally a show that adds lore that doesn't connect to the current Wakanda in anyway and was also just super boring to watch See more JackPlays2k T @RT50277922 Aug 7, 2026 Great animation but totally unnecessary otherwise, episodes are short but feel even shorter and the only one that carriers any actual merit to the MCU is the last one. Good Idea, lovely art direction, but not impactful or memorable. This really just feels like fan service for the Black Panther lovers and I do love Black Panther but I just don't think I'll ever watch it again. Some of the historical stuff was cool and the concept of the fourth episode was okay, although the time travel doesn't make sense. If there's one thing about the plot that was great in the four villains in each episode were good I thought. It was cool to see an early iron fist, Trojans, and a new villain the lion, but other then the fighting sequences this just doesn't land for me. Not good not bad, 5/10 See more jessica M @jmaynard33 Jul 23, 2026 personally don’t love animation but the backstory/plot added to the black panther lore See more diogo13 T @Tua_mera Jul 17, 2026 Visually stunning and with great action scenes, this historical anthology brings good slices of lore to the Black Panther universe. However, the scant four episodes leave everything feeling rushed, functioning more as a promising glimpse than a truly remarkable series. See more Vicky C @harrietta796 Jul 16, 2026 Much better than I expected. The animation is gorgeous, and each episode feels like its own adventure instead of filler. See more Read all reviews
