Bank robber Seth Gecko and his violent brother, Richie, are on the run -- a robbery gone bad left several people dead -- and the FBI and Texas Rangers are in pursuit. As they head for Mexico, the brothers meet the Fuller family heading the same way. They take the family hostage and continue the trip in the Fullers' RV. Chaos breaks out when they stop at a bar to meet the cartel king who offered them shelter. The bar is home to vampires and becomes the scene of another fight in a reimagining of a 1996 movie by the same title, created by Robert Rodriguez, who brought that version to the big screen. This time it's for his channel, El Rey.

As fun as it may eventually turn out to be, From Dusk till Dawn doesn't offer much encouragement that things will change. Go to Full Review

It's hard to say how the show will develop as it gets into the bulk of the actual story from Tarantino's script or as Rodriguez abdicates the director's chair to other filmmakers but this is a solid set-up installment. Go to Full Review

The characters, the sympathetic ones, are rounded enough so that you feel for them a little when things threaten to go or go bad. It has more of a moral center. Go to Full Review

Here's the problem that From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series has, and it's only gotten worse as the season's gone on: If you've seen the movie the show's based on, you know what's coming. Go to Full Review

There's a more pronounced supernatural edge to the show than the film ever had, which could be a great thing if Rodriguez and co. take the time to properly flesh out the extensive Aztec mythology that the original film merely hinted at. Go to Full Review

Starting from right before the original movie's storyline gives them the time to get us used to the new faces of the Gecko brothers, and to give us the backstory that the film didn't have time to do anything more than hint at. Go to Full Review

Krzysztof P 11/04/2022 S1 do połowy nieźle, ludzko. Spoko kadry i kolory. Wydarzenia średnie, ale fajnie przeplatane. Potem jak słaba parodia z wampirami See more 04/10/2021 One of my guilty pleasures. I will never stop shipping Seth and Kate. See more 01/26/2021 It is... the movie... just longer and of course due to the length of a TV show some more details ... but also a lot more length :) Doesn't mean it's interesting all time. See more 06/01/2020 A solid re-imagining of the 1996 movie, with some new twists and character motivations. See more 03/04/2019 Loved the series. Was kind of skeptical about at first cause I really love the movie. But once I got about 3 or 4 episode into it I really started to enjoy it. Was a little mad about them messing up who was older. See more 02/11/2018 Surprisingly better than I thought it would be and certainly better than the Sequels. The show pretty much expands every 30 minutes of the movie to 3-4 episodes. It lacks the punch of the original movie and is slow at times but all in all it is gory fun. See more Read all reviews
