The drama comes from good writing and when the plot hits a place where any savvy viewer would raise an eyebrow, the show almost always acknowledges it.

Haven still hasn't figured out how to pace its season-long mysteries. Season 2 gave us a bunch of frivolous monsters-of-the-week -- few of which were all that interesting -- followed by an exposition- heavy finale.

While its premise and mysteries are intriguing, the show is somewhat bland and a little slow-paced.

There were so many intriguing facets of this episode that I'm now determined to marathon the first season and catch up.

Once again...no real forward moving of the bigger picture plot involving the Parker character. Some info is given at the start and end of the season and its really not worth sitting through all the mediocre episodes in between to then sort of get answers (but not really).
