Henpocalypse! is itself a gruesome kind of torture. Go to Full Review

Aesthetically speaking, it’s all very penissy. Go to Full Review

Some might find the language a bit coarse, but writer Caroline Moran also has an eye for absurd details, whether it be the stripper using a Sylvanian Families caravan as a makeshift loo or the mundanity of daily life. Go to Full Review

This sitcom about a hen, set during the end of the world, is a wasted opportunity. Go to Full Review
Alison Rowat The Herald (Scotland) 08/25/2023
Add a shedload of “hilarious” hen night props, and a cop who turns out to be a stripper (never saw that coming), and you too may have been praying for the apocalypse to get a wriggle on. Go to Full Review
Pat Stacey Irish Independent 08/18/2023
It’s probably pointless to highlight the glaring plot holes in a comedy as daft as this. Go to Full Review

Dan B @RT54415027 08/30/2023 I'd read about this series and seen two of the cast being interviewed, so tuned in. I struggled a bit with the first episode and nearly gave up on it, but continued with the series. It got a lot better. There's some really funny dialogue and some bizarre and unique situations. Elizabeth Berrington, playing the bride to be's mother was brilliant. She had most of the best lines and had great comic timing. The rest of the cast were also very good, each playing weird, funny and bizarre characters. Some of the situations reminded me of The Young ones, which was also a really unique comedy at the time, and eventually became thought of as ground breaking. The comedy might not be for everyone, but it was good to see a show which was new, fresh and funny. I find so many so called comedy shows are trying to tick so many politically correct boxes that they aren't funny any more. This is not trying to be woke and it's refreshing. I hope the series is renewed and would definitely watch another series. See more Paul B @Trypi 08/27/2023 Deliberately offensive garbage that will be beloved by the worst people in the world. Katie Pice and TOWIE/Made In Chelsea types will love it. See more Mike M @mmx554 08/18/2023 As this was being strongly promoted by the BBC I thought it was worth giving it a try. I watched three episodes back to back. Episode one left me mystified as to what it was about and where it was going, so I watched two more, thinking and hoping that I had missed something. I hadn't. The series is truly terrible in every imaginable way. It is just not funny (unless you find laughing at stupid, badly drawn and developed characters amusing). The story is preposterous, the acting leaves a lot to be desired, and it is difficult to care what happens to the characters. See more Read all reviews
