Critic Reviews for Human Target Season 2

Human Target was a good wise-guy action adventure last season. It's already looking like a better one this season.

Still smart, still good, still fun, "Human Target" remains one of TV's best comic books.

Most of the self-contained episode plots have been so dreadful that I nearly went to IMDB to see if they filched them from reruns of a half-baked 1980s airtime-filler like "Riptide" or "Jake and the Fatman."

Not that Mark Valley's hotness couldn't fill an entire show, but the team's estrogen injections should prove to attract a few more eyeballs to this steadily improving comic-based series.

[The finale is] just such a patchwork of stolen ideas and cheap shots, striving to hit our pleasure centers without bothering to connect its half-baked conceptions of ensemble and infatuation into anything dramatically satisfying.

Human Target was very suspenseful and contained impressive acting from a terrific cast.

Whatever happens, the inclusion of two strong women is an obvious but welcome change to Human Target's dynamic.

Jul 17, 2018 | Rating: 2/4 | Full Review…

Human Target might not have the greatest storylines, but it definitely has the action and adventure you crave.

Jul 17, 2018 | Rating: 3.5/5 | Full Review…

Mark Valley, Chi McBride, and Jackie Earle Haley are all in top form, their chemistry as potent as ever.

[The season 2 opener] had everything in it that hooked me in the first season while showing lots of promise for the season to come. Bring it on!

Jul 17, 2018 | Full Review…

"Human Target" seems to be taking itself more seriously in season two, trying to add the emotional weight that might have kept it from becoming a water-cooler hit last season.

Jul 13, 2018 | Rating: 3.5/5 | Full Review…

The finale was very fitting, as it encapsulated everything I thought was good and bad about season 2...The action set pieces were, again, fantastic and the performances by the actors were also pretty much perfect.

Audience Reviews for Human Target: Season 2

Why did Fox cancel this show?
  • Dec 16, 2013
Still as funny and as preposterous as ever, though it doesn't offer much that was new to the series other than two new annoying characters.
  • Nov 24, 2013
If you do not enjoy this show I question your sense of fun. Action is fast, one liners are faster and the actors all have a blast. 2nd season get even better. The new additions make it one of the best on tv. I was sad to see it go.
